SANDY BEACH SPOT… Aloe arborescens thrives in sand and does not mind salt spray, if you are looking for a beachfront garden addition this may be one to choose. If you have areas where nothing seems to grow, then this might be a good call as well.
It combines well with Yucca aloifolia, Agave americana, and Pinus torreyana, also with an ability to thrive where your typical plant choices might not.
Companion plants that go well in your sandy area also are palm trees, natal plum, and pride of Madeira among a few.
This also works well with the garden themed of ‘sea and reef’. We’ll take a closer look at a few of those options a little later.
Make it a great week-end!
